How did you start to play chess?
Since both my parents have been connected to chess for most of their lives, I do not really remember when I learned the first moves. We always had chess pieces at home and I used to play with them even if I did not really know how to move them the right way. My parents started taking me along to competitions when I was very small so I think that me also starting to play chess just came naturally at one point.

What age, which year?
I played my first competition in 2006 when I was 6 years old.

What is your best achievement in chess so far, and when?
I think that so far the achievements I’m myself most proud of are that I’ve been able to play in last two Olympiads for Estonia and also had a great tournament and achieved my first WIM norm in this year’s RTU Open in Riga.

What is your target in chess?
I’ve never wanted to have a really huge long-term target in chess. I’ve always just wanted to learn more, get better and what’s most important, enjoy the game. Although in shorter term I hope to achieve two more WIM norms and get the title.

What else chess has taught to you, except playing chess?
Chess has definitely taught me a lot more than just the knowledge how to play. I think that most importantly it has given me the habit of working hard and also always trying to do my best and not giving up easily.
